Riot Police fold the Ukrainian flag after it is torn down by pro Russia supporters .
Pro Russia demonstrators descended in their thousands on Donetsk's city hall tearing down the Ukrainian flag in front of riot police and raising the Russian one before moving on . Later a planned pro Ukraine rally was cancelled as pro Russia supporters violently intimidated those brave enough to voice their support for the new western leaning Kiev government .
