The Irpin bridge , destroyed by Ukrainian forces to hinder the Russian advance on Kyiv became a major thoroughfare for civilians fleeing Russian forces .
It has now become a Memorial to remember those that died .
Irpin , a commuter town on the outskirts of Kyiv that saw heavy fighting between invading Russian and defending Ukrainian forces .
