The last time Aziz Isa Elkun saw his elderly mother and father in the disputed Chinese province of Xinjiang was more than two years ago.

Since then, his father has died and he has no idea about the safety go his mother and cousins , after China launched a brutal crackdown on its Muslim Uighur population.
